In a classic case of “you should have been here yesterday…” your reporter turned up on an overcast chilly Sunday to see what all the fuss was about.
In excess of 400 historic vehicles, both cars and bikes, were busy all day lapping Winton’s tristy circuit while enthusiasts wandered the pits swigging their warming coffees and ogling the dazzling array of track stars. A further few hundred special-interest vehicles filled the surrounding carparks making it a daunting task to take it all in.
M.G.s were prominent on track and in the parks; the Pre-war fraternity well represented by cars from S.A., N.S.W., A.C.T. and Victoria.
