Information:

Built at Abingdon on 24/11/1931 as a four-seat tourer finished in black with green trim. On completion it was delivered to Haslemere Motor Co. Ltd on 4/12/1931.  First owner and registration not recorded.

History:

No early history known.  First appeared on our register in 1979 owned by Don Shinners in S.A.  Don was a mechanic with a stock of surplus M.G. parts acquired from Motors Ltd, the M.G. distributor for South Australia.  The car was fitted with a rudimentary body consisting of a bare frame constructed from water pipe and used by Don to compete  at the M.G.C.C. oiled-clay track at Lanac Park.

After D.S. passed away a large clearing auction was held in 1986 (timed to coincide with the M.G.C.C. National Meeting) to disperse his collection of numerous cars including M.G.s as well as the tons of parts.

This car was sold some time prior to 1982 to Peter Bradey who wrote to CAMS about having acquired the chassis.

.The Bradey family were well known as the owners for many years of M.G. K3 K3030, the ex-Bira car.  Peter bought F0345, along with a number of other pre-war M.G. parts, to maintain K3030.  However, given the rising value of original K3s, he decided to build a special based on F0345, referred to in correspondence as the MGK3 ‘B’ (for Bradey) Special, so the family could keep racing a car with, in Peter’s words, “that 6-cylinder blown sound beloved to M.G. enthusiasts and others.”  After Peter’s son, Philip died in 2011, the project appears to have stalled.  In 2018 Peter sold the chassis and parts, including an L-type engine and a custom crankshaft, to Peter Bail, who completed the car in its current form with the L-type engine supercharged, a TC gearbox and pointed-tail alloy bodywork.

Offered for sale online in 2026 and bought by Chris Moon.
