Pre-war Biennial Rally 2027

The dates for the next rally have been fixed as:-

Sat 13th Nov to Wed 17th Nov 2027

We are heading to Victor Harbor on the Fleurier Peninsular in South Australia.

This, of-course is the site of two pre-war motor racing circuits that witnessed two famous Grand Prix wins by M.G.s,

Les Murphy at Victor Harbor in 1937 and Alan Tomlinson at Lobethal in 1939.

The theme of the event is Racing to SA.

Traveling to the UK in 2027?

In recent years many Aussies have included Pre-war Prescott in their UK visit itineraries.  The event is organised by Ian Grace and the Vintage Minor Register.  It is an informal social event with the attraction of non-timed runs up the historic hill climb track.  After 15 successful and well attended events at Prescott it has become necessary change the venue to Shelsley Walsh, an even more historic venue than Prescott.

Ian Grace has just announced that planning for the inaugural event is progressing well and has locked in the date; 25th September 2027.   Read about the event here.

Ian is already anticipating the 2028 event will be bigger and of even more interest to M.G. owners because 2028 is the centenary of the M.G. 18/80 AND the M-type, the first of the Midget line of models.

The date for that event is 2nd of September 2028.
