Information: Built at Abingdon on 19/10/33 and shipped directly to Lanes in Melbourne as a CKD kit. Lanes dispatched the car to Aspinall to receive one of their door-less two seater bodies.Â

On completion the car was registered 57 924 and sold to Britannia Motors and became part of their race team, driven by Colin Keefer with Ted Martin as riding mechanic. Its first race was the Winter 100 at Phillip Island in June 1934, one of five J2s in the Britannia Team. Colin finished in 6th place and was one of three from the team to finish which meant they won the Team Prize.

The car next appeared in the hands of Jeff Scorer of Melbourne, entered in the 1950 V.S.C.C. Midnight Trial and shared in the Teams Prize.
