All British Day – Geelong 10-3-19

The Australian M.G.C.C Pre-War Register keeping our members and the interested community at large up to date on all things Pre-War M.G

The M.G.C.C. Geelong organised this event on the lawns of Eastern Beach, Geelong.  Attracting a very impressive display of up to 150 M.G.s across all models of (British built) M.G.s.
Of course for readers of this page the focus would be the Pre-war M.G.s.  There were five; an F, an L, P and N, all from the Thompson collection and recently completed TA special by Brian Murphy.
Of particular interest was the first public airing in more than 50 years of  L 0640.  Mechanically rebuilt by Otto Stone and not run until bought a few months ago by Ryan Thompson.  The original Australian body still needs completion but it was good to see some progress.
